My animal series generally features Elk Valley wildlife. I try to express a sincerity in the animals’ expressions that portrays curiosity. While I realize these creatures are capable of fierceness, my focus is on their guilelessness. In the paintings they often meet the viewer’s gaze with a gentle curiosity.
