Leanne Stothert Painting
Leanne paints at Studio 562 in Fernie, BC. She made her way to Fernie twenty-one years ago from North Vancouver. In Vancouver she attended various art programs including the graphic design portfolio course at Capilano University, painting classes at Emily Carr University of Art and Design and life-drawing classes. Eventually she focused on computer animation and completed the animation program at Vancouver Film School. Leanne worked in the animation industry before leaving the city, in the spring of 2000, for life in little Fernie. The birth of her first child in 2003 sparked her painting path as she wanted to create a unique and personal keepsake for her daughter. Thus, painting began and has since been an integral part of her life.
Leanne paints weekdays at her studio in Fernie.
562B 2nd Avenue
Studio is open Wednesday through Saturday 12:00 to 4pm.
